The Triple Entente: Victors of World War I

Background

The Triple Entente was an alliance formed between Great Britain, Russia, and France in 1907. The alliance was created to counter the growing power and influence of the German Empire.

World War I

When World War I broke out in 1914, the Triple Entente found itself pitted against the Central Powers, which included Germany and Austria-Hungary. The war raged for four long years, with millions of casualties on both sides.

In 1917, the United States entered the war on the side of the Triple Entente. This proved to be a turning point in the conflict, as the United States provided much-needed supplies and manpower to the Allies.

Victory

In 1918, the Central Powers were defeated and the Triple Entente emerged victorious from the war. The war had a profound impact on the world, leading to the collapse of several empires and the redrawing of national boundaries.
